Products | Video Infrastructure MediaCento IPX Extend HDMI video over an IP network to as many as 250 distant screens — or to video walls! • A digital solution for the future at an analog price! • Uses existing standards-based Ethernet technology and TCP/IP protocols. • Virtually no distance limitations. Can go as far as your network reaches. • Three versions to choose from: multicast, multicast for video walls, and unicast. • All versions provide very high image quality with visually lossless compression. • HDCP compliant and Blu-ray ready, and feature EDID copy function. • Support serial connections to switch screens on/off. • STANDARD WARRANTY — 1 Year • EXTENDED WARRANTY — Add 1 or 3 Years Standard multicast version. This IP streaming solution multicasts HDMI video and audio to up to 250 screens on a LAN. You need just one VX-HDMI-IP-MTX transmitter plus a VX-HDMI-IP-MRX receiver for each screen. Because the extender units install directly into an existing LAN, integration is easy. The extender transmits up to 100 m per link but goes even longer when additional network switches are added to the mix. Its signal is completely digital from end to end, so your digital content is never compromised. This offers all the features of the standard multicast version but also supports the output of a single source video to a matrix of screens, so you can project your HD content on a larger scale. The extender supports customizable monitor array sizes for any video wall setup, with multiple rows and columns. You need just one transmitter and up to 250 receivers for a customizable wall. Typical application for VX-HDMI-IP-VTX/VRX version: MediaCento IPX Multicast HDMI Cable PC Unicast version. If you need to transmit HDMI video and audio over an Ethernet network to just a single display, order this version. It extends up to 100 m but goes even longer with network switches added to the mix. The extender can be used in any existing corporate Gigabit network. Digital Video Extenders HD-over-IP Encoder/Decoder Extend broadcast-quality 3G-SDI, HDMI, or DVI video over a LAN IP using JPEG 2000 compression technology. CONNECTORS DVI-I HDMI SDI RJ-45 Ideal for: • Medical image distribution. • Military HD video sharing. • TV broadcast studios. • Other video recording, editing, and archival applications. VX-HDV-IP and VX-HDV-IP-HDMI • Captures, compresses, and encodes video for streaming over an IP network. • Also decodes IP signal back, decompressing it for HD output on remote screen(s). • Uses JPEG 2000 intraframe compression, ensuring every video frame is transmitted. • Delivers Full 1080p/60 Hz video over the link without noticeable loss in quality. • Modular interface. Order DVI-I/HDMI® or 3G-SDI cards for video input/output(s). • Works equally as well in either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint setups. • Multiple units can be interconnected via LANs/WANs as well as the Internet. • Extends up to 100 m— or farther by adding a network switch. • Also extends USB keyboard/mouse signals over IP to the remote end. • Supports dual redundant power input and contact closures. • HDCP compatible. Distribute video from a Blu-ray source. • EDID function for optimal display data communications. • STANDARD WARRANTY — 1 Year • EXTENDED WARRANTY — Add 1 or 3 Years Transmit high-quality video over a standard IP network for display of HD content on one screen — or multicast signals to multiple displays — with the Black Box® HD-over-IP Encoder/Decoder solution. Because it uses JPEG 2000 compression, it’s extremely efficient when encoding the signal for transmitting over a network. This way, you’re assured every single frame is transmitted without any visible loss of quality for maximizing network bandwidth and clear rendering of video. Plus, it offers very low latency. Delay is less than three frames*, which makes it ideal for streaming live video fast. The solution uses existing standards-based Ethernet technology and IP protocols to digitally transmit video (as well as multichannel audio if used with the HDMI I/O card) at maximum Ethernet distances of 100 m. To go farther, simply add a network switch or enable unlimited distances using the Internet. An Auto Stream function enables video streaming to start as soon as you connect the encoder/decoders. Connections between units are defined using simple IP addressing via a browser-based management interface, so reconfiguring video streams is easy. Order two or more base units. You’ll need to order at least two VX-HDV-IP base units with one configured as an encoder and the other as a decoder. When set up to work as an encoder, the base unit compresses the video source signal and transmits it over IP via a Gigabit Ethernet connection. The second unit, configured as a decoder, decompresses the data, and plays it back in its original form as HD video. And, as long as you have suitable LAN/WAN bandwidth, the quality of the source video is preserved. Use the two encoder/decoders to unicast video to one screen, or use three or more units to multicast to multiple screens on a LAN. Flexible modular video interfaces. Just add 3G-SDI or DVI-I/HDMI I/O Cards for your type of video. You can even mix interfaces, connecting a 3G-SDI source on the encoder side and an HDMI device on the decoder side (each I/O card has video in and out ports). For example, you can plug a 3G-SDI camera into the encoder with the 3G-SDI card and enable playback on a remote HDMI display connected to the HDMI card installed in the decoder unit.
