Delivering Full HD video resolution to a screen up to 1.5 kilometers (0.9 mi.) away, the Mini Extender and Splitters for DVI-D and stereo Audio over Fiber are ideal for transmitting DVI-D video and CD-quality audio to remote digital signage.
For optimum display communications, the extender reads EDID data from your latest, custom-resolution screens. Just plug it into the display and program it.
It supports 24-bit true color depth, which makes it great for sharing video in healthcare, education, multimedia production, or process engineering applications.
What’s more, because it uses optical media for extension, the signal is immune to interference from nearby machinery or equipment and is highly secure.
No need to make room for external boxes. The extender units are super-compact. The receivers can be hidden quite easily behind a screen, and the transmitter can be installed in-line at a player or other source device.
Point-to-Point Extension
Use the Mini Extender Kit (AVX-DVI-FO-MINI) as an economical extension to transmit DVI and stereo audio signals over longer distances using a single optical fiber strand—without compromising the quality of the original video or audio signal.
Point-to-Multipoint Extension
Scaling a point-to-point extension to a point-to-multipoint distribution system is also very easy and flexible. Just add a slitter to the extender kit and connect each of the additional displays via Mini Receiver Unit.
The multimedia distribution system transmits high-quality video signal formats and audio to up to 32 remote displays, without compromising the original media quality. It’s an ideal solution for systems where high-resolution and high-quality video signals need to be extended and distributed over distances up to 1,5 km.
All splitters are passive devices and do not require external power. Transmitters and receivers consume 3 W or less for transmitting and receiving Full HD resolution video signals and CD-quality audio.
Choose the right component
Use the AVX-DVI-FO Mini Extender Kit to extend audio and DVI video over distances up to 1.5km.
This kit works as a complete point-to-point extension.
To distribute audio and video from one source to four or eight displays, use the AVX-DVI-FO-Mini extender kit together with a the 4-port splitter (AVX-DVI-DO-SP4) or 8-port splitter (AVX-DVI-FO-SP8). It is even possible to combine different splitters, depending on the optical budget. Then add a receiver unit (AVX-DVI-FO-MINI-RX) for each additional display.
For an even higher number of displays use the the cascadable 2-port splitters (AVX-DVI-FO-SPCS) to daisy chain several displays. The system can be expanded to up to 32 displays in total.
