Marketing Technology Manager EMEA & APAC

Purpose of the Job

Black Box Network Services EMEA and Asia Pacific (www.blackbox.eu) is seeking an International Marketing Technology Manager, who is passionate about marketing technology systems, has a solid background in IT, programming as well as databases and brings extensive experience in website development, e-commerce systems, marketing automation (Eloqua) and CRM (Salesforce.com) process and data management to this role.

A team of system experts who are responsible for 20 websites in Europe, South America and Asia and who manage the existing technology systems will report to the Marketing Technology Manager. This position will report to the Marketing Director EMEA and APAC and will leverage experience in planning, designing, implementing and managing marketing technology in support of Black Box' Technology Products Solutions business. This position also supports the acquisition and consolidation of marketing performance metrics and is expected to closely work the Technology Manager in the North American company headquarter to align, harmonize and plan common systems and platforms.

The Marketing team EMEA and APAC is a group of enthusiastic marketing professionals performing a wide range of marketing activities using a large variety of marketing channels online and offline in order to support revenue and profitability goals of the company.

As a member of our team, your responsibility will be to manage the operation of the marketing systems and technology and working with our North American team on the evolution of our marketing technology systems.


Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Management of marketing technology operations:
  • Management of marketing technology operations:
    • Managing a team of specialists supporting the EMEA digital marketing platforms
      • Website and Social Media
        • 20 international websites and corresponding web-shops
        • Integration with channel partner websites, EDI feeds
        • Website and telephone integration with local country offices
        • Managing/supporting/operating multiple analytics tools (Google, Moz, Hootsuite, etc.) and providing performance data to UX design and marketing program managers
      • Content Management System
      • Product Information database
      • Marketing Automation (Eloqua)
      • Collaborate with the sales team for interfacing to the CRM system (SalesForce.com)
      • Collaborate with the operations team for interfacing to the ERP system
      • Managing external suppliers and agencies
    • Cooperate with North American counterpart to develop a marketing technology roadmap
    • Defining, acquiring, consolidating and verifying of marketing performance data
    • Align, harmonize and plan common system platforms with North American Technology Manager
  • The marketing technology team is responsible for managing the following processes
    • Implementation/maintenance of websites including UX optimization efforts
    • Managing translation services for the six major languages supported
    • Aggregating performance marketing data
    • Support campaign planning and results tracking
      • Awareness, leads, contribution to funnel, revenues
      • Promotions cost
      • Reporting and data integrity verification
      • KPI reports

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of IT and marketing technology systems
  • Experience working with the Marketing Automation/Eloqua and CRM/SalesForce.com API
  • Strong foundational knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript, .NET, database technologies, and data modeling
  • Contact Database management and standardization of key data structures for the marketing team including fields, views, groups, picklists and filters
  • Supporting the customization of Eloqua functionality, including but not limited to data cards, custom tracking functions, programs, campaign integration, dynamic templates, dynamic content, progressive profiling
  • High degree of expertise in analytics, ongoing data cleansing and data health
  • Ability to develop and support campaigns, multiple lead scoring models, customer segmentation
  • Collaborate on Eloqua/SalesForce roadmap
  • Support the Marketing Analyst for reporting and ROI tracking for all marketing efforts

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Engineering or IT systems degree strongly preferred, 5 years of marketing technology experience required in a leading and planning position
    • Expertise in marketing automation, web platforms, CRM systems and database management/queries; Eloqua/SalesForce.com expertise
    • Understanding of data modeling and data management in a multi-lingual environment
  • Additional education or experience in marketing
  • Strong foundational knowledge of digital marketing with understanding of how to track marketing efforts and effectiveness across systems
  • Strong customer service and project management skills
  • Must be able to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Supervisory Responsibility

The Marketing Technology Manager EMEA and APAC will report to the Marketing Director EMEA and APAC and dotted line to the Marketing Technology Manager based at headquarter in the USA.
